Action Pencils

Love! Each day, you could grab a pencil and complete the action. Action Pencils by We Are What We Do, a non-profit organization that gives all profits from their stationery line directly to schools and community projects.

These pencils bear six of the 131 actions items that We Are What We Do list as ways to make someone’s day, make your home a bit greener and overall, do a little chunk of good. I really hope the organization comes out with a giant box of 131 Action Pencils. A vibrantly colorful desk and a happier life would be the end result I think.

Just one pencil (with Action 124: Don’t worry if you make a mistake) has a rubber on the end.

My Grandpa Jud used to play records for me all the time as a kid. I would sit on his floor while he propped his feet up, sat back in his worn leather chair, and smoked apple tobacco from his pipe. Whether it was rock or gospel, grandpas head would nod to the rhythm of the beat. I would always know what record was playing by the spinning colors and patterns in the center of the player. The rotating gradients would put you in a trance, only to be stopped by grandpa changing the record.
